Choosing a vendor
What makes an RUO peptide vendor trustworthy?
Research results are only as reliable as the material that goes into them. These are the criteria researchers use to evaluate a Research Use Only (RUO) peptide supplier — and how LuxLife Aminos measures against each one.
For Research Use Only · Not For Human or Animal Consumption
1 · Independent third-party testing
A vendor that tests its own product is grading its own homework. Independent laboratories have no stake in the result. LuxLife Aminos: published Certificates of Analysis come from independent laboratories, including KMD Analytical and Freedom Diagnostics Testing.
2 · Certificate of Analysis transparency
A COA should be public, specific to a batch, and verifiable at the laboratory's own website — not a PDF the vendor could have edited. LuxLife Aminos: COAs are listed by product, batch ID, test date and purity at luxlifeaminos.com/coas, each linking to the laboratory's verification page. Batches not yet listed can be requested by order number.
3 · HPLC methodology
High-Performance Liquid Chromatography is the standard method for measuring peptide purity: it separates a sample into components and reports the target compound as a percentage of the total. Visual inspection or unspecified "lab testing" is not a substitute. LuxLife Aminos: purity is reported by HPLC, and every published COA shows purity above 99%.
4 · Lyophilization
Peptides in solution degrade far faster than freeze-dried (lyophilized) peptides. A vendor shipping pre-mixed solutions is shipping a less stable product. LuxLife Aminos: all peptides are supplied lyophilized and sealed, with storage guidance on each product page (−20°C, protected from light).
5 · Shipping and temperature
Because lyophilized peptides are stable as a dry solid, they generally tolerate ambient temperatures during a short domestic transit; long-term stability depends on storage after arrival. What matters most is fast, trackable delivery and correct storage on receipt. LuxLife Aminos: orders ship lyophilized via USPS or FedEx in discreet packaging, with same-day drop-off for orders verified by 1:00 PM Central on business days, and tracking by email. The company does not use cold packs.
6 · Owner-operated vs. corporate
Large resellers often relabel product from many sources, and support is a ticket queue. An owner-operated vendor is directly accountable for every order. LuxLife Aminos: founders Michael and Clarissa Wright source, inspect, pack and ship every order themselves and answer email personally.
7 · Clear Research Use Only compliance
A trustworthy RUO vendor never makes therapeutic claims, verifies purchaser age and intent, and states plainly that products are not for human or animal use. LuxLife Aminos: 21+ age verification, a required research-use acknowledgement at checkout, and RUO labeling on every product. See the Terms of Service.
Summary
When evaluating any research peptide vendor, check for independent HPLC testing, public batch-level COAs you can verify at the lab, lyophilized supply, trackable shipping, a reachable owner, and unambiguous RUO compliance.
